John Robinson

John has been in the architectural design and drafting profession since 1977, after earning a diploma from SIAST. Working for various architectural firms, John has experience in single family, multi-family and commercial drawing production.

John’s first love, though, has always been residential design. His enthusiasm and passion for good design is contagious. To that end he, along with his wife Janet, incorporated Robinson Residential Design in 1996. John’s home plans have been built internationally, and he has thoroughly enjoyed working with these clients, many of whom have maintained connection over the years. As Principal Designer, John brings his expertise to the more complex projects as well as overseeing the design and creation of new house plans available on the website. His design projects have been featured on HGTV and several TV documentaries. John’s involvement with Habitat for Humanity has inspired his interest in affordable housing and has led to him overseeing and creating community through several 3-day builds based on the HFH model of the “blitz builds”. John is usually very excited about his “best project ever” which is generally the plan he is currently involved with.

Mike Herperger

Mike Herperger, a seasoned Senior Partner at Robinson Residential Design whose tenure spans back to 2005. With years of experience in the industry, Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and a discerning eye for design to every project he undertakes. His journey with the company has been marked by a dedication to excellence and an unwavering commitment to transforming the visions of his clients into stunning realities. Mike’s innate ability to seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetics ensures that each home he designs not only reflects the unique preferences of its inhabitants but also surpasses expectations in both form and function. From conceptualization to completion, Mike’s expertise shines through, making him an invaluable asset to both the company and the clients he serves.

Leif Sauder

Architectural design and drafting has been a lifelong passion for Leif. Since joining RRDI in 2005, Leif has been involved in projects nationwide ranging from small renovations to large custom homes. More recently he has worked closely with local architects and engineers in the design of small commercial and large scale multi-family projects. Leif is very detail oriented and takes great pride in finding solutions to unique challenges.

Stephanie Lefebvre

From an early age, Stephanie was drawn to house plans in the Home Hardware catalogues! After completing 3 work terms with RRDI she was excited to accept a permanent position in May of 2015. Stephanie is a Senior Designer and brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to her position. Stephanie loves any challenge that is put before her – whether it is a design problem or building a cabin in three days!

Janet Robinson

Janet came into the architectural field via marriage! With a background in banking, Janet has been managing the office and accountings areas of the company since she and John formed it in 1996. She does not have the ability to picture things in her head the way the rest of the design team does, so is very thankful for 3-D drawings!

Although new to home design intricacies, Melissa brings years of invaluable experience in staff and client management. With a proven track record in building strong rapport and ensuring operational efficiency, she’s set to fit right in at Robinson Residential. Melissa is excited to embark on this journey, she looks forward to learning and growing within home design.

Ashley Lugrin

Ashley joined RRDI in May 2014, following the successful completion of three student work terms with the company. Her passion for outstanding design and her unwavering commitment to breaking away from conventional “cookie-cutter” housing set her apart. Ashley’s expertise in the field distinguishes her, and her enthusiasm for pushing the boundaries of innovative design permeates all her endeavors. Her drive to craft homes that are unique and extraordinary, rather than mere replicas of a standard mold, defines her dedication to creating spaces that truly stand out.

Tristan Drake

Tristan originates from British Columbia, but joined RRDI in 2010 after moving to Saskatchewan. He is very technologically savvy, making him a great addition to our working drawing team….as well as our IT team. He has also been instrumental in organizing office “board game nights”!

Faith Zwozdesky

Faith’s love of home design is rooted in her many childhood trips to home improvement stores and touring show homes with her family. She has always loved seeing how much the shape, design and color of a house could impact the feeling you get when you’re in it. Faith takes pride in her creativity and dedication to excellence. Besides being able to learn new things every day, working with smart and driven people is one of the things she loves about being at RRDI.

Justice Litzenberger

Beginning at a young age, Justice was drawn to the construction and design of homes during multiple renovations in his childhood home. This interest flourished over the years and drove Justice to pursue an education in an Architectural Technologies program, from which he graduated with his diploma in 2019. During this program, Justice was fortunate to have completed his three student work terms with RRDI and officially joined the team in the spring of 2019. What Justice appreciates the most about his role at RRDI is the privilege of working alongside supportive and talented coworkers, and having the opportunity to work on projects of all kinds.

Madison Moen

Madison has an absolute zeal for house design and construction, and it all stems from his childhood and playing with Lego Bricks. He graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2021 with a Diploma in Architectural Technologies and joined the RRDI team shortly after graduating. Madison has a passion for learning and looks forward to expanding his drafting tool belt by working beside creative, astute, resourceful individuals that makeup the Robinson Residential team.

Shilynne’s passion for architecture began at age 12 when her parents began designing their family home. From laying the foundation to selecting finishes, she was deeply involved in the construction process. Competing in drafting competitions during high school and earning Silver twice at Skills Canada Provincials, she solidified her path in architectural design. Graduating in Architectural Technologies in 2017 with a focus on Interior Design, she gained experience in various firms. However, it was her time with a custom homebuilder in Saskatoon that fueled her passion for residential design. Completing her Bachelor of Interior Design in 2022, Shilynne finds joy in collaborating with clients to create personalized sanctuaries that reflect their style and needs. For her, this process is a beautiful art she deeply loves.

Erica Eftodie

Erica is a dynamic presence at Robinson Residential, where she serves as both an interior design technologist and the administrative assistant since July 2021. With a keen eye for color, a knack for organization, and a genuine passion for being the first point of contact for the office, Erica thrives in her multifaceted role. She seamlessly navigates various responsibilities, from managing marketing initiatives and handling customer inquiries to maintaining office efficiency. Leveraging her expertise in interior design technology, she actively contributes to numerous residential projects, infusing them with creativity and functionality. Erica’s enthusiasm for her work at Robinson Residential stems from the diverse array of tasks it entails, making each day both challenging and rewarding.

Lucas Cappelle

Lucas found his love for the technical aspect of architecture and construction by working alongside his grandfather on construction projects. Lucas also found that he always ended up admiring the design of the show homes he visited. Today, he loves to scroll through the Realtor app in his spare time and look at homes across Canada. Lucas graduated from Saskatchewan Polytechnic in 2023 with a diploma in Architectural Technologies and won the Instructors Award in the process. He completed one work term here and knew that working at RRDI alongside this amazing staff was the right choice for him.
