The following job list and schedule to build a single module is based on a crew of 4-6 people. This is provided to give you a general sense of the ease of construction in building a Weekend Warrior cabin. The project schedule is based on the premise that the foundation and sub-floor is in place prior to the first weekend of the construction schedule. In addition, it is assumed that the material and mechanical / electrical contractors deliver on time.

Weekend Warrior - 1st Weekend

Friday P.M.

pre-fabricate walls, measure and cut loft floor joists

Saturday A.M.

erect walls, install loft floor joists and sub-floor

Saturday P.M.

install roof trusses, sheathing, box in chimney, install roofing material and exterior building paper

Sunday

install windows and exterior doors, install fascia and soffits

* co-ordinate mid-week the electrical and plumbing installations

Weekend Warrior - 2nd Weekend

Friday P.M.

insulate walls, ceiling and install vapour barrier

Saturday

install drywall

Sunday

1 crew: mudding and taping / 1 crew: canopy installation

apply second coat of mud

1 crew: apply third coat of mud / 1 crew: install siding

1 crew: final sanding / 1 crew: install siding

1 crew: prime and paint / 1 crew: install siding

1 crew: second coat of paint / 1 crew: install siding

paint touch-ups, pre-paint base boards, door and window trim

hang interior doors, install cabinets and millwork

install flooring, baseboards and plumbing fixtures
